Recommendations

I am often asked to recommend books to those who are new to the gospel of grace. I recommend all of the books above, but if you’re in a hurry, start with these:

Destined to Reign, Grace – The Power of the Gospel, Grace Walk, and The Naked Gospel

Here’s a list of the best books I have read (so far) on the following topics:

God’s unchanging character: The True Nature of God and The Misunderstood God
God’s will for your life: Walking in the Will of God
Healing: God Wants You Well
Identity – your new one: God’s Astounding Opinion of You
The new covenant: The Lost Secret of the New Covenant
Overcoming sin: Lifetime Guarantee
Prayer: A Better Way to Pray
Predestination: God Without Religion
Spiritual warfare: You’ve Already Got It
Supernatural life: When Heaven Invades Earth

Note to Authors

Since it difficult to provide unbiased reviews when you’re doing favors for authors, please do not ask me to review/mention your book. Instead, ask your publisher to send me a obligation-free review copy.

Note to Publishers

By all means send me any new grace books you have coming through. But please understand that I can offer no guarantees regarding reviews. Life is simply too short to read all the good books that come my way.

  1. Have you read “Silent Killers of Faith: Overcoming legalism and performanced based religion” by Stephen Crosby?

  2. Thanks for the list and the reviews.
I was wondering if you have viewed some of Steve McVey’s more progressive thoughts that he has given in a couple of interviews with a group known as Grace Communion International. You should check them out. He talks about two major shifts in his theology, including his last shift about six years ago away from penal substitution and toward a more Trinitarian Perspective.

  3. Hi, Paul, might I ask what you think of Rick Warren’s best-seller, “The Purpose Driven Life”? I am sure you have heard of it, and might have read it a bit. I would love to hear your thoughts about the book.

  6. The apostle Paul speaks of not being entangled again with the yoke of bondage to religion. Its so amazing at how many people mix covenants and sweet as a result. I PRAISE GOD AND THANK HIM FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU SIR AND JOHN SHEASBY WHO SPEAKS THE WORD OF GRACE WITHOUT APOLOGE TO ANY WHO CONFRONTS YOU. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT YOUNG PEOPLE ARE RECEIVING THE TRUTH AND GRACE IN ITS FULLNESS. GRACE2U.
