  22. David says:

Someone posted Colossians 1:22 that we are presented holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation. But please help me with verse 23 which says, “if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel.” Verse 23 makes it sound like I can lose my salvation. I do believe in eternal security of the believer through the finished work of Jesus but I want to be prepared when approached by the anti-grace, works, crowd. Thank you. My email is dg1j@yahoo.com.

    • Paul Ellis says:

David, I have written a post on Col 1:22-23 and it will come out soon as part of my ongoing study on security. (See this page.) To ensure that you don’t miss it, I recommending signing up for free updates. On a personal note, Col 1:23 was one of the key verses that helped me come to the revelation of grace. I had always read it as conditional salvation. Then one day… THUD. The scales fell off. Stay tuned!

      • David says:

The gospel is the “nearly to good to be true news.” That is how it should make people feel when they hear the gospel and I believe you’ve accomplished that.

  26. Thank you, my Beloved Brother, for allowing Jesus do His Work in you and through you for His Glory, His Kingdom, and for His Good Pleasure! As the Holy Spirit always does, you Glorify Jesus Christ and His Finished Work on the Cross. Thank you very much.
