I could able to come proper understanding through this words. I very peaceful for me and I can able to make other people in God’s peace where ever I go.

  6. I like the commentary. It makes sense spiritually and naturally as well. However what does john 15:6 mean? In reading what it says it sounds like “backsliders”, or those that don’t abide or stay put will go to hell…..however, once saved aren’t we always saved, so that explanation wouldn’t mesh…..can u expound verse 6 please.

I have scrupolosity, I fear so much that Jesus won’t forgive me if i don’t ask Jesus for forgiveness of things I have done on purpose or am not exactly sure what I did was my thoughts at that time. I know that I would never do something so evil when I’m quiet and still. Like today I ran over a grass hopper of some type and I know I turned my wheels toward it but didn’t know for sure it was an animal.
Am I forgiven By Jesus If I don’t pray, The reason I don’t pray is because “m scared to death that my ocd will kick in and it will last for a long time then I feel I have to pray about all my sins on purpose or not?

    • Michael, I have heard from several people over the years who have been set free from or experienced relief from the symptoms of scrupulosity, on account of this message of grace. You are forgiven whether you pray or not because your eternal forgiveness is what Jesus accomplished on the cross. We don’t pray to get forgiven, but praying can help us enjoy the gift that is on the table. When you pray, I encourage you to speak the language of faith, which is full of praise and gratitude for what Christ has done, rather than the language of longing, as though he hadn’t done it.

I was doing an online search about 1 John chapter 1, and why it is not written to the believers, but to the gnostics or the unbeliever, and I “stumbled” (I don’t believe it was by accident) upon your blog website. Your blog articles are such a refreshing confirmation of the truth of the Gospel of grace, and a refreshing change from all the religious, works based, self-improvement based, mixture based fodderall that so many are pushing in the church today. I am thankful to God for “stumbling” onto a website that’s dedicated to preaching the unadulterated Gospel of Grace. Thank you for being a channel of grace and truth.

What revelation I received from just one article. Servant, friend or son. A friend of mine and I were having this discussion and I was searching the subject I came across this site and ” WOW”. I am blessed by it. Continue enlightening the body of Christ.

  28. When I clicked on the ebook link, a new window opened with a “Blocked Popup” message and I was unable to view the ebook. I am using a MacBook computer. Any ideas on what to do?

    • It depends on which browser you’re using, but you need to turn off the blocker. I googled “how to allow popups for Safari” and got this: Click on Safari on the upper left of your screen to open the drop down options and choose Preferences. Make sure “Block Pop-Up Windows is unchecked as in the image above. Then click Preferences. From the menu, choose Security. Make sure Block pop-up windows is NOT selected. If it is selected, click it to deselect.
      Hope this helps.

      • Thanks, Paul. I realize now that the message read “Blocked Plug-In” so I went to Safari Preferences and turned them on for your website but it’s still not working. What plug-in is required?

      • If it’s one of my ebooks you will need a PDF reader, though I would not have thought of this as a plug in. Can you download the file then open it with whatever you use to read PDFs?

  29. I solved the problem by using Firefox vs Safari. Not sure why Safari won’t work. I read Out of the Jungle and saw myself in the Japanese soldier who continued to fight for 29 years after WWII was over. I’m desperate to simply believe the truth of Jesus, but how do I make my heart do so? I keep asking God to reveal Himself to my heart in a way it can understand and apprehend His love, but I don’t change. I’m terrified that I’m going to die and go to hell before I believe. My problem isn’t legalism, rather, sadness, doom and gloom and seeing that I’ve wasted my life at age 64….single, never married, no family, alone. I have to break through this blanket of darkness somehow. Do you have any suggestions? I don’t know what’s wrong with me….perhaps deep down I think Jesus is too good to be true…He doesn’t seem real to me. My unbelief terrifies me. Will God deliver me from it if I keep asking Him or is that a nonsensical request? I’m afraid I don’t know how to trust anyone or have a relationship with God or anyone else.

    • Jane, the fact that you’re searching is a marker you believe. I don’t spend minutes looking for the milk in the fridge if I don’t believe it’s in there to begin with. I hear that you’re saying (to continue my analogy) like you’re afraid you’re not finding the milk and perhaps the milk isn’t real.

Jesus is real. I promise. I’ve moved past theology and have had encounters and witnessed miracles and hear His voice. You can, too. He communicates with us all the time, we need to learn how. Mark Virkler has a series titled “how to hear Gods voice” and is worthwhile for those seeking Jesus.

As for the wasted life, well, my perspective is this: 1) it’s like learning guitar. You’re not going to learn any younger, and putting it off isn’t going to make you better at it.
      2) our lives are designed to be lived in relationship with Jesus. So you’ve been limping for 64 years. Time to get healed and run the rest of your race!

Finally, the biggest part of the whole equation is to believe. It requires the tiniest of efforts on our part – but we do need to make that effort. We need to choose to believe. Believe Jesus is the son of God and has been resurrected. And don’t stop believing.

It’s not too late. It’s never too late. But that step of faith can be terrifying. Be courageous!

Hi Jane, I am not sure if I can answer your question completely, but I can tell you I did experience something similar. When I first turned to Jesus, I was in so much turmoil and had already exhausted antidepressants, psychologists, self-help books, etc, and even pastoral counseling, so Jesus was my last go to. The thing is I was looking for relief, not a savior. I had a salvation experience no doubt, but it was only two weeks later that the experience wore off and I was back to my depression and out-of-control thinking that often spiraled into suicidal thoughts. Seven years later, started going back to church, searching. I raised my hand in response to every salvation invitation, trying to get saved again (wanting relief) and nothing happened. I tried “being like Jesus” as taught in church, but couldn’t make it through half a Monday without sinning again. I began to doubt that Jesus is real. I remember saying to God “I believe you’re real, but I don’t know what to believe about Jesus. I am willing to believe if he really is real, but you need to show me the truth.” It didn’t happen right away, nor did it happen all at once, but God is faithful to those who seek Him out. A few months later, the Lord brought me a biblical counselor who helped me begin a process of breaking free from so many deep lies I believed about myself – all by comparing my beliefs to the True Word of God! I had many deliverance experiences and found myself chasing after more deliverance experiences because those spiritual highs made me feel loved. God then showed me I had a wrong definition of love in my heart, that was creating stress in my marriage, as a parent and with God. I was still striving to be loved. When God showed me my confession was wrong – “I just want to feel loved”, I changed it to “God, You say you love me and you’ll never leave me or forsake me. I am yours.” My heart changed pretty quickly. Shortly after, I came into the teaching of Grace and Righteousness by faith, and since the Lord opened my eyes to Grace, I can now read the bible, I have clear understanding of His word. My advice to you is, stop asking God to reveal Himself to you. Start listening to grace messages. Change your confession about who you are – speak out loud so you can hear it! It’s the Word that will change you. That’s where God will reveal Himself to you and you will be free! If all you’re looking for is for God to drop a revelation in you separate from His Word, you’re in total danger zone. Just start hearing, hearing by the Word of God and your faith will grow, your unbelief will turn into belief and you will be changed. Also, the more you focus on yourself and how you feel, you will only get more and more of that same result. Focus on Christ and who you are in him and you will be transformed into his likeness. Promise!

    • Dear Jane

In Gods kingdom, nothing is wasted, not even time. Moses was 80 years old before he moved into Gods calling. He spent 40 years as a Prince and brother to Pharoah learning leadership, then 40 years cast out in the wilderness after murdering a guard, during which time he learned wilderness and desert survival.

At the tender age of 80 God called him to free the Israelites from Pharoah, and bring them through the wilderness and into the promised land. This is recorded in Exodus in the bible. He probably thought his life was over too, and his best years behind him, but it was not true.

Jane if you fee like this, know that eternity is before you, and you are very young in the Lord. Keep seeking Him with all your heart, for when you seek, you will find.

May the Lord richly bless you, keep you, and cause His face to shine upon you, and give you Peace.

    • Dear Jane🙂, I just want to tell you that the enemy comes at us with such lies. All those things that you may be feeling right now about wasted years etc., are tried and tested lies that satan uses against us all the time, whether you are married with hoardes of family or single with none. Whether you run a multi million dollar business or live hand to mouth, his lies are the same. Where did you get the idea that your life has been a waste? Yip, a “thought” from? Yip, a lie from the enemy. And all the other negative feelings and thoughts too!! Jesus is real and the enemy doesn’t want you to know that or believe it. You choose now. If you believe in Jesus say so and give your life to Him. Ask Him to take over then find a grace based church close to you who will become family and support you. Jesus is reaching out to you, sweep aside those lies and traps of the enemy and receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour! In the Greek the gospel or the good news means “the almost too good to be true news”, yay isn’t that exciting!! Receive Him now openly, it’s not complicated😉. He is your Father and loves you so much. Praying for you x

    • First off there is abundance and grace for you. Secondly, the devil is taking a wack at you. Get up and fight. Thirdly, your position is based on Jesus’s faithfulness not yours. Rest in Him. Blessings.

I think it is important for you to know that you are not the only person who has felt this way. There could be many reasons. Perhaps you never had anyone speak to you about God and why He sent His perfect Son, Jesus, to save a whole lost world. Just your searching and trying to find answers in and for your life, is proof to you, that inside, you know there is a wonderful, loving, Creator God that has made all of the wonders in this world for you, and that He must care so very much for all of His creations including you. I think God is drawing you now. Scripture tells how it is God’s Spirit that seeks and woos us to Him. You are searching, because His Spirit is drawing you to question life and its meaning and other questions. If I could share anything that would help another person also come to know the Lord, I would encourage him to read the Book of John and then, Romans out of a very easy to understand Bible translation as the first Books, I would ask Jesus to give me spiritual discernment of them as I read. I would read scriptures out of them continually day by day and read them all over and over until something clicks in your heart. You will know when it happens. I believe the Gospel about Jesus is supernatural and it has the power to transform anyone who reads it. Read all you can about the Gospel of Jesus, why He was sent to us, who He is, what He has done to save us and so on. Stay in all the teaching about Jesus, and you will be given revelation you have never know. Just trust God that He will be faithful to take you out of any darkness as you read, and that He will transform you by His Word and bring you rejoicing into His great and marvelous light. Amen!

  31. Feelings can vary with the moon and time of day and as such are a poor indicator of our status before God.Regardless of how you feel at any given moment it is what God says about you in His Word that is our reality not our moods..We are saved by faith in the blood of Jesus and that takes precedence over our transitory feelings. As for wasting your life, regrets won’t change the past all they will do is make you unhappy in the present and in the future. It’s best to press on and make the best of the opportunities that come your way as you trust in Jesus.

  32. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for all of you…Ben, Kristina, Andrew, Rhonda, David, Janet…for responding in such love, wisdom, understanding and kindness. I have read your responses over and over. Kristina, your experience resonates with mine in so many ways as I, too, have run the gamut of antidepressants, anti anxiety meds, psychologist, therapists and so on with no help. I have grown up with the Gospel of grace preached to me and know the Bible inside and out. But I see now that I didn’t internalize it. I knew all about God, but didn’t know Him. I knew something was wrong, and realized that even though I could teach Bible studies, I hadn’t been trusting Him with my own life. Now I must do that as without faith, it’s impossible to please God. But’s it’s hard as faith is not at all intuitive. That’s why I keep trying to get saved, asking Him everyday to save me, give me His Spirit and reveal Himself to me. I’m going to stop now, as you did, Kristina, and just take Him at His Word. I long to be loved and FEEL loved. But I believe that He does love me because He died for me and I now choose to rest in that love. The cumulative effect of 64 years of singleness is a hard thing to bear, but then everyone has hard things to bear, and singleness is mine. I pray that He will satisfy my thirst and hunger to love and be loved as I know in my head that only He is able to do so. I’ll trust Him to get it to my heart as He’s done for you. Thanks to all of you, again. And please don’t hesitate to offer any additional thoughts or experiences you have to share. God bless you all!!

  42. Oh my God! I feel so so great in my heart and my mind is renewed in the word of God. I am amazed by the truth I have just learned that all my sins even future sins that I don’t even know or thought of where forgiven by God’s grace by the atonement of Jesus Christ before even I was born.

I have come to realize what apostle Paul said when he said that not all you should be teachers of the word because he foresaw the spirit of deception attacking the church to confuse believers from believing in the finished cross works of Jesus Christ and remain under the curse of the law which Christ had already dealt with once and for all.
