Interesting in interjecting the words above to the Scripture and I quote,we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ gives that additional meaning.
So in looking at it that way we need to grow in resting in our Lord, yielding to our Lord, and believing in our Lord.
I myself have found this to be wonderfully comforting and strengthening to my being!!
There was a time when I was listening to different ministries that taught all sorts of things to DO.! (I was excited with all these things to do) I also had an old teaching that I would listen to once in awhile and I thought Gee, I know she healed people & had a higher consciousness than anybody I ever knew or heard but maybe she really wasn’t that good at teaching. After all, it seemed the only thing she taught to do was repent, be still, yield, believe & receive. Later after I was exhausted & frustrated trying to do all the DO’s, I listened to her teachings again. It felt like a breakthrough – Wow, all I have to learn to do is 5 things!!. What a relief. My next thought was “but how do I yield???” I’m still laughing at myself.
