Hi Paul,
I noticed that Joseph Prince’s book “Destined To Reign Devotional” was not listed. I have been using it for 5 years in a weekly bible class because it is inexhaustable in the depths of the 13 topics that he delves deeper and deeper into throughout the year. It is like a corkscrew. Works is about my utmost for God; grace is about His utmost for me. I have used many devotionals over my 70 years but Joseph’s is the best by far.
I am getting close to publishing “Is There An Elephant In Your Church?” I dig back to the beginnings of Christianity and show how legalism got so firmly entrenched and why it has remained a dominant force for 2000 years. The mixture of covenants has been a huge factor. I contrast that with the alternative “law” of the Spirit of life: faith, love and liberty, the way Jesus lived.

Thanks for sharing this list of books. “The Grace Awakening,” by Charles Swindoll, should certainly be on your list. If you haven’t read it, please do. It was published in 1990 and, at the time, I found it to be the best book I had read on the topic of grace. I’m anxious to read more of the books on your list.

Thanks Paul for this list. I have a Scribd subscription and the great thing is that most of the books on this list are available there. Been going through one at a time and aach one is a gem so far. Actually every book on this list is there except Ragamuffin (though his other books are) and your books. Any chance your books will also end up on Scribd?

Wow! Thanks for all the great resources. I don’t see John Crowder’s “Mystical Union” which I find to be absolutely fundamental to understanding grace from a deeper theological perspective. Also Dan Stone’s ” The Rest Of The Gospel” is so clear and simple. His own personal journey as shared in the early part of the book is pure gold. Any thoughts on these two?

A book with the grace message is “Grace On Tap,” by Eric Dykstra, he is my pastor in MN, I saw it in the Library too so I’m glad it’s getting around!! My pastor before him preached the grace message and I hadn’t heard anyone else with the same news for a very long time, and thank you for your site, I still haven’t heard much and I finally looked today after a million years, looking forward to starting one of your books!

Here are several additional authors, some I know you’re aware of, who should be included in any list of Grace teachers:
Major W. Ian Thomas – almost 80 years of a life well-lived, Dan Stone – “The Rest of the Gospel”, teaches us about the spiritual realm and the temporal realm, David Gregory – “If Jesus Loves Me, Why Isn’t This Working?”, and maybe my all time favorite and someone I know you know — Tricia Gunn — Anything she’s written or taught — she is truly one of the most encouraging teachers/preachers I’ve ever read or heard, and I know she thinks very highly of you…, and I’m sure one of almost everyone’s favorites — Bill Gilham and his book everyone recommends, “What God Wishes Christians Knew About Christianity”.
